My Sherman Oddball conversion is piling on the pounds, heaps of metal plates etc gone in and will be having metal tracks. At the moment just empty hull with motors, idlers and return rollers is weighing in at 3lb 2oz :O
Hey man....I just ride 'em, I dunno what makes 'em work.

Hi, Well I'm the fat one. Tiger S13 20LBS 8 OZ. Automotive wheel weights are used through out my hull. This was not a random procedure, and the best thing about wheel weights are the adhesive tape backing. 1.5 oz. and 1.0 oz over the tracks in the gap between the upper and lower hull. The back and floor of my turret has .5 and .25 weights which allows the turret to rest and counters barrel bounce as my barrel is longer than most due to the recoil and the airsoft barrel.

My point is simple, the heavier tank moves more like a machine and less like a model, moving over obsticles rather than bouncing over them. Of course my speed is slower but a solid gun platform.

So try the wheel weight method and after some testing you may find your tank moves more deliberate and the control arms move as the hull remains stable.

Good idea with the wheel weights. The extra weirgt certainly helps my tiger with traction climbing over obstacles.

Thanks John, their great and easy to install. I am almost ready to start testing my Jagdpanther with added weights and will post my findings.
