Gerwyn, I did the calculations a few months back 'cos I found 1/18 figures cheaper and more readily available, plus 1/18 are pre-built and often fully articulate.
Basically a 1/18 figure will be around 89% the size of a 1/16, but different figures from different companies will range in height, just like humans, so they will all look ok next to your tank. The only problem with 1/18 stuff is vehicles but thats only if you have the same ones next to each other, ie a 1/18 Tiger and a 1/16 Tiger, then it looks horrible. Since then I went a bit mad :crazy: ;

I have 50+ troops, mostly German and American, and custom vehicles.

You remember this thread;
http://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/v ... 152&t=5830" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

All those figures are 1/18! For best results see this (scroll down to bottom pics);
http://www.tanksandtrolls.co.uk/kingtigerpage.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thats 1/18 Dragon German Grenadiers (that I have too, on left of top shelf) with 1/16 tank crew (check the rest of that site, its great!!)
If you want anymore info on where to buy etc let me know as I know the best places, if anything specific I have a contact! :D
Hope this helps! :thumbup:

Joachim Peiper, excellent 1/18 figure still on sale. Photos are not that clear but the scale differences are well well represented.

I guess Peiper is a bit short. The way I deduce it is from a photo of me next to Tiger 131 at Bovington, top of my head (at 5"8) is about 2 inches short of the top of the deck, I have measured all 1/18 figures against this and my 1/16 Tiger and rarely are they shorter than me! Though this is the variance I mentioned before.
£5.50 each for Bravo team guys is pretty good, depends where from though? Bravo team are ok but they are worst for obvious hinges etc, but usually you dont notice. The German ones with dotted camo dont look to good, the standard green uniform ones are far better (I guess you will go for Germans as I know you have a Tiger)?
Cheers,
Dave

Thats ok, I just got the three green uniform Germans from there on Saturday. Do you have a local Model Zone? If not I know they charge for postage, try ebay as well and dont be afraid to buy from other countries!! I saved a lot of money that way! This place is good;

If you select the cheap postage option that comes to £36.45 for all 6, or £6.08 each, it will take maybe a week or two to come though. Still cheaper than paying £40+ for a set!
Hope this helps!

Those are Dragon figures in those pics, I got same ones too! If you found them for £5.99 thats good! When I got mine (most iv ever paid for each figure) they were about £6.20 each. My general rule is never more than £6.
Anymoo back to the real question, yes Bravo team guys do look good with a tank, Dragon make the nicest fugures in this scale but the are only partially posable. If you want the decider I have Bravo Team Germans, Dragon Germans and 21st century Germans, do you want me to take some pics of them on my Tiger?
