The K/T that got me hooked
This is the Trumpeter King Tiger that got me hooked on 1/16th scale. It took me 10 months to build and I enjoyed every minute of it! After looking at some of the builds on this site I have an idea germinating in the back of my mind about the possibility of modifying it to take an R/C unit and keep as much of the interior build as possible.
Re: The K/T that got me hooked
Very nice, I would like a picture of the engine bay from overhead if possible as I'm trying to build a motor block for the 1/16 scale r/c tanks. the compartment views are not very reveling from the real tanks but from your very fine King Tiger would be most helpful.

Sax,
This is the best angle I have on the finished engine compartment, I have more photo's of the engine compartment in the earlier stages on my web site.

You can get more of an idea how it is all squeezed in.

Re: The K/T that got me hooked
That a good shot, and I am grateful. could you post one directly over the engine bay? I have the block size and mold worked out, the engine project is a box compartment that drops in,the block mounted on top of a smoker unit. The engine hatch on the Tiger, Jagdpanther, panther ,and King Tiger are very similar and adding a engine compartment seems to me an asset to the overall appearance of the H/L Tanks.
Your very detailed and accurate model is jsut what I have needed and I'm sure other wil benefit from the details which are excellent.
cheers Saxondog The angle I need is from the overhead or possibly back to front, thanks Sax
