The schmalturm turret internals are all Tamiya parts (except for the rotation unit). The recoil is from the Panther/Pershing (small recoil movement) and the elevation unit is also the stock standard Tamiya part. There is even a socket from Impact for a Battle Unit plus a IR Diode in the gun barrel, I left the flash unit off this one.

If and when I have to take the turret apart for maintenance I will take a pic of the inside and post it here for you to have a look at. For now I would like to let sleeping dogs lie. I did take a photo of the inside but cannot locate it on my computer.

It was a very tight fit as I remember and a bit of a bother to do.
