I have decided to add recoil to the 88. it will be a servo system hooked up to HL rx18.

Hi Xrad
At work I work with solenoids i wonder if recoil can be done with a low power solenoid it would snap back fast then have a spring to slowly push plunger forward .
And can it be run from a Tamiya MF unit or a HL rx-18 .
Ill have to think about this cause it could slide the whole gun breach and all .

I would be surprised if you could find a solenoid that draws a low enough current AND which has enough travel to make the system work directly from the HL board. You may have to run a seperate relay from the power supply to operate it.

nice conversion, but after all that work, he left the 120mm breech??

I found a nice unit for servo reversing (under products, scroll down to bottom)

WOW, Nick sent the items out and they were here in 2 days!!

VERY nice construction. the part numbers have been wiped so you can't easily copy the design, but for the price, no need to copy it.

instructions on his web site.
