Re: good night
Yep! It was a good night all round. Many thanks to Tony (Oz) and Brian (BeeKay) for inviting me. The Washington Modelling Club is a thriving group. I'm sure there were at least 20 people that night building all sorts of models in all scales. Really nice stuff too (of course my eyes were mostly taken up with Tony's & Brian's HL Tigers - beautiful work!). It was great just to talk to a group of like-minded enthusiasts (and the tea and choccy biscuits were the clincher of course!)
It certainly might be a future venue for an 1-16 IRAD get-together Pete. On the way back to my car Tony showed me a stretch of land attached to the Arts Centre that could be used for tank driving. A bit out of the way for you mind but certainly do-able. I think I saw on another thread that John (Mackem) might be interested too.
A very promising night out.
Thanks again Brian and Tony.

Don't worry Pete. We certainly don't want to leave you out. In any case, the guys have just gotta see your jaw-dropping all-metal HL-Tiger so be sure to bring it with you when we arrange a meet!971wright wrote: If you do have a meeting try to have it at the weekend then I will be able to come.

Re: good night
there is no probs getting together in Washington on a Saturday for a meet, i like the idea of a village, building it is not a problem but here would we store it, maybe we can organize something after Xmas and i,m sure we can sort out some accommodation for guys who have to travel up here.
Re: good night
Over here in Australia we have train clubs and each member builds a module that can join to the others and make one big layout.
You could do the same with the village each member can build his or hers own building (one or more)
and keep it at home with them till it is time for a get together. Next meeting start a work shop, decide the guide lines, and start building
