just thinking back to why the kt had a mad spell, could it of been that i totaly flattened the battery or something? it works fine now, it was all ok until i recharged the battery, so could this of played a part?

im thinking of fitting two power packs, do they both have to be the same mAh? as one is 2300 and the other is 2000, is the lower one powered the mf and the higher the dmd, would this be fine or do they both need to be the same?

Trev the same would be good ,but its not a problem if one is marginly less , it does mean that the smaller amp one will run down first so you will not get the length of time that two of the same would give you...

Hi I think they have to have the negtives linked ,the tamiya sends signals down the neg ,its so the dmd and the mf unit know what each of them is doing ,speed to engine sound.I am not 100% sure but its something impact wrote in there instuctions if you wire a mini act into the tamiya it sends signals via the negative.
So I dont think you can use two individual batteries.
