tamy dmd's

Post by boxerdog »

does anyone know if you can still send your dmd unit back to tamiya? and what sort of price would it be, my kt was fine yesterday, nothing was wrong with it until i switched it on today and got nothing, the mf unit is fine (green light) but the dmd flashes once yellow, then flashes red (both leds) , tried reset but nothing, then it did work but the drive was all wrong, forward was reverse, reverse was forward? then i restarted and got the red leds again, any ideas? sounds all work as do other functions, this maybe in the wrong topic but im not sure how long it would be before anyone read it if it was in the electric topics ( sorry mods)
i realy need the beast up running as going on holiday this month with it

Hi First thing to do is charge the battery and see what happens ,check with a full battery .(Its a bit like looking why the car dosnt run, no point stripping the engine if there is no petrol.)If you say it worked fine yesterday, they dont usually blow ,so while the battery is charging take a look for loose conections.

Don't forget to check your transmitter batteries are fully charged and all receiver connections, crystals, ariel etc are fine.

Hi Contact Paul (septon)if the unit was bought in the U.K. he might be able to get it changed ,he has a friend that has a model shop.If it was bought abroard its not possible to change it.He also might have the answer to your problem ,it may not be bust.

Ok I've swapped receiver from Pershing in to the kt, but it's the same, so all I need to do is find out why the drive is round the wrong way?
