Post by Victor »

looks like heavy filters.

I use a few coats of testors dullcoat as my final sealer.

This is the varnish applied as the sealer/dullcoat in the painting and weathering guide. Before applying this Johnson's floor polish is applied. This only works if you follow the complete Technique.

The Testors dull coat works well as Xrad pointed out and as a Airbrush Newbie dull-coat is the best option. The painting and weathering in Grey post is a technique that has to be followed completely to obtain the correct finish, but the other post in that section are a mixture of techniques demonstrated individually. Perhaps you could post some pictures so we can help you?

hi, i think im going to get testors dull cote, will i have to apply floor polish then the testors dull cote or just put the dull cote straight onto the acrylic paint?

oh and i also heard from this video (see link) of this krylon matte finish, apparently its exactly the same as dull cote but you get like 3x as much for half the price.
