Oh, by the way, the proper name where you conducted your water test is; "The porcelain indoor aquatic testing facility." Just thought you would like to know.

Of course the PIATF rolls off the tongue dont it..."right men..into the tank and off to the PIATFfff errrr the bath !" Thanks Herman, at ease that man !. Spending today, doing the detail stuff like antenna grab rails, .30 cal mounts and all the other stuff to finish her. Then Markings and a coat of Acryllic Mat varnish to keep her dry.

Andy, I have gone for keeping the upper hull in one piece and screwing it to the top each time. Not very sophisticated I know, to water proof that seal, Ive gone for very thin silicon rubber strips (well going for) basically I have cast some silicon rubber into a thin sheet letting it cure overnight and then cutting it into strips to form a washer (I dont know the nautical term) around the top of the hull. WIll try and detail a picture for you. Around the Drive wheels, I simply drilled a piece of plastic card, cut it in half and secured it against the hull with resin. So not a perfect seal but I think any leakage will be minimal and the front compartment with the gear boxes has a Bulkhead to keep it seperate.
I think water usage will be confined to calm conditions however :haha:

Also On a whim I sort of bodged in an old speaker from my now defunct sorround sound system for the PC. Works a treat gives a nice throaty roar to the thing, which I think it deserves. So we are getting there chaps, thanks as always and never for granted for your words of support

not a nautical term, but "Gasket" is prolly the description you're looking for.

Ooooooooo, don't have any more spare speakers do you?

I bought a Creeping Death "Thunder 1" sound system for my King Tiger, having a hell of a time trying to find a 3" 8 Ohm 15W speaker or 2 or 3, 5W or 2 10W speakers in Aus

Tip, don't buy the Thunder 1 with the intention of mounting it in a Matorro King Tiger-it won't fit!, they fit inside a Heng Long Tiger I though, go figure.
It all comes down to battery compartment location, it's at the back on a King Tiger.

So the plan is (if I can find a Speaker) to take a Crow Bar a 4lb Sledge Hammer & an Oxy-Acetylene Torch & I may (i say May cautiously) just be able to jam the speakers in either side of the Jagdtiger Superstructure, fingers crossed. ;D

Cracker of a machine dude! Would look awesome in a grand battle scenario but could also be quite a bit of fun down the local duck/model boating pond! :haha:
