OK, so I don't know what the copper under the hull is for. Can you help me out on this?

Re: JAGDPANZER IV L48(Profiline/Asiatam/HL/Tamiya)
the copper is for stabilizing the parts ie fenders and gun parts. It was the most efficient solution that I could think of when making the upper hull

Thanks, I can see where it would add some strength to them.

Re: JAGDPANZER IV L48(Profiline/Asiatam/HL/Tamiya)
Some more work today:
Fitting of the rear deck is redundant since the tammy deck is also correct. So I will leave these resin bits out...Same for the front fenders. To add them will destabilize the front mounting system I am making.
It was much work to get the resin milled down to the right (at least as close as I can make it) angle for the front wedge. Close, but not 100%..probably like 95% correctly placed and angled.
Front deck is nearly level (like original). Except not 100% level due to gearboxes.
Aluminum barrel is Tammy panther , front end of barrel cut off and used...It is not yet the correct length for L48...and I will put on an impact muzzle brake because I like the look.
Front wedge is held on to Tammy P-IV front end with epoxy and two allen head countersunk sheet metal screws. I don;t plan on taking it off again (more than twice because I was not satisfied with the first placement)
You need to grind down much of the gun mount to fit the tammy gearboxes and still have elevation. The Asiatam low prifile 3:1 gearboxes would have been a better fit , but more work to get into the hull..
Overhang of resin superstructure over fenders is nearly correct, however the casting is slightly off so that it never sits quite square...but only by a few mm's
Anyway, real nice conversion for the tammy hull..too bad they are not making these anymore...

looks good. What are your plans with the gun. Are you going to use HL elec for the gun movement?

Yes, just elevation.. no recoil and no traverse.

Yes..probably make hinges so I can hide on/off switch..
