The bulge is in the front lower bow armour plate . I think its to allow the gears to fit . The Porche kingtiger looks good as far as I can see in the pictures . The second set of pictures are of the curent Mattoro Henschel or production Kingtiger depending on your opinion.

A Porsche KT now that sounds good it won't take long for them to bring out the Jagdtiger as well as they will have the running gear.

Didn't both turrets go on the Henschel chassis, Stevie, and the Porsche chassis became the Ferdinand?

There were a handfull of early JT's manufactured with Porsche designed suspension, that had smaller wheels (and more of them I think) than the regular Henschel KT setup - The JT at Bovie is an example of this 'early' version.

The Ferdinand was Porsche's attempt at the Tiger I contract.

Word has been going around for a couple of years that a Jagdtiger would come out with HL doing the KT they would now have the running gear for a Henschel JT they probably won't even try to extend it .

It sure looks nice, the Porsche turret HL Tiger II, but judging from my experience with HL tanks (I have had two, and none of them can / could ever measure up with my Tamiya KT!) I wouldn't buy this one for all the money in the world. Okey, HL is a good way to get introduced into the rc tank hobby, but in the long run these cheep rc tanks are very expensive to get into a really high-quality shape.

Just my 2 cents...

Cheers, Jens

And while they last Tamiya America lower KT hulls 7.83us each, support brackets for control arms 2.93us for set. Check it out guys me and Dietrich have already purchased the lower hulls at a great price.http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/rcpss. ... t_id=56004" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; These are the Henschel King Tiger 56004, which is out of production, but the hulls are the same as far as the H/L application is concerned.

Xrad, any information on the hulls? My Porsche and Henschel have the same hull. so I'm not sure what the 56018 FULL OPTION Hull is different if at all just a different part number.

But for the Heng-long I think the ,4005004 hull part number should work as this hull is used on the Porsche and early model Henschel kits.

Very interesting, what are the differences between the two King Tigers other than the turret?
