Can anyone out there help me out?
Guys, it's been a while since I have done anything with tanks and I am looking to build my Mato into this unit I found online.
The problem is these are the only 2 pics I can find and no other info. Does anyone have anything to help me out. Where to get the barrel, muzzle brake..etc...
I had to add the link to the other pic, as it was too large

Hi,
email Nick Aguilar at ndaguilar@grandecom.net for info and cost for the just the parts you want (76mm barrel, muzzle brake and mantlet) or better yet get the complete T-23 turret set, transmission cover and upper cast hull set. These are all really nicely made, heavy, durable, resin parts and easy to work with. Visit here for some build info:

Regards, John

Thanks for the info, but will all of this work with the Mato Tank? I thought the turret it has is correct for that tank...am I wrong?

Google M-50 Sherman
EDIT- Hadn't noticed I'd loaded the wrong pic.
The IDF upgraded whatever hull they had. The M-50 had a 75mm gun and the M-51 a 105mm gun
Pic 1 - M-51 in the foreground and M-50 in the background (both have HVSS) Pic 2 Same M-50

I did the google search and all I can find are the 2 pics I posted. I want to model that specific tank.

You can just order the scale barrel and muzzle brake, if you are keeping the Mato turret and upper hull.
The tank photo referenced is not a Sherman M-50, and i believe your looking for a Sherman M4A1(76) VVSS medium tank.
Looks like the Israel Defense Forces Sherman that you photo reference is not really upgraded from the typical USA Sherman M4A1(76) VVSS used in the WWII ETO.
Goggle "Sherman M4A1(76) VVSS photos" and you will find tons of image reference material online.
Don't have a Mato tank, but it looks reasonably accurate for a platform to modify. The turret does sit to high and the transmission cover is wrong, but many modelers here have posted how to correct that.

One more place for scale Mato Sherman 76mm barrels, but no muzzle brake or barrel thread protectors offered:

Thanks again for all the info. I contaced Nick and ordered the parts I need. Seems this tank is one that was not heavily modded. The Mato is going to be a great source to replicate her.

My easy 8 build with Nick's parts can be found here: http://rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/viewt ... =21&t=4412" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Nick's stuff is good, but like all resin aftermarket kits you have to do some work yourself.
