Hetzer

Post by littletankman »

Hi I started this some time ago and have mentioned it to a few people . I was unsure if to post as Im not 100% sure it will work out , and I seem to be getting less time to work on it . I started this whilst Im waiting on some parts for my LVT build . But the 1:16 resin version is now released so I thought Id put up what Ive got so far . Im also not sure how far this will go before I hit a brick wall.
Im working from some blown up line drawings . Its difficult to get the angles correct .

Image
Basic top half made from styrene . I have since renforced this with brass strips.

Heres some top detail . Ive decided not to have all the rear hatches opening as it would make the top half to weak. I seteled for just the top two. Ive added the periscope , cover and home made slide .

Im hopefully going to start the suspension soon this I have sorted . The wheels are going to be from the HL Tiger but narrowed down , the tracks are from a 1:25 early Panther as well as the gears ( thanks Alan ) . Im going to make the drive sprocket and idlers unless I can think of another way. Im still not 100% this will work yet . But will plod on until my LVT parts come , then I will juggle both builds .

Hi Ice , I have the plans in 1:35 on A4 if anyone wants a copy just need blowing up to 1:16 , just pm and Im happy to send them . I think theres going to be a lot of issues . I have mounted the recoiling gun unit , just hope it all fits in . The other guy used Tamiya electronics , which I cant afford for this build.
