transforming kv1 bb version to infra red

Hi everyone
I have just ordered a KV1 BB tank and want to convert it to Heng Long infra red so that I can have garden battles with my sons stug. I need a complete HL battle system, Forgebear can supply the apple and the wiring but does not have the emitters. Does any one know a source for these emitters or are they maybe something of a standard piece of electronics that I could get from maplins or somwhere similar.

next question is this. If I wanted to add a recoil to the KV1 what is my best (cheapest) option. I see that the stug recoil units are cheap so would that do the trick?

just ask dave for a jagdpanther recoil as well

the emitters can be bought from maplins for pennies sorry i dont have a link or part code but im sure someone will be along shortly

If you replace the BB firing unit with a recoil unit does it stop the tank from making that stupid jolting when you hit the fire button on the controler or does it recoil when you push the left thumbstick up?

Hi thanks for the advice on the emmitter. So if I buy the apple, the apple holder and wiring from forgebear I will have everything I need exept the emmitter. If anyone knows what type of emmiter I should ask for at Maplins I would be very grateful.

unfortunatly it still will but you can get a darkiths battle system that will get rid of that and the superspin also the later ones you can use a std handset and receiver
also with a little device called a turnigy and a servo you can get realistic re-coil via the barrel n ot the tracks lmao

Just found the Maplins equivalent of the part that Pete is suggesting. I don't really know much about this infra red gear so as Maplins have quite a range of Infra red emmitters I was wondering if anyone new of any important spec that I need to consider.Do different emmiters produce different wave lengths or something and then if so what sort would I need for the HEng Long System. The Maplins part code that I found and think is correct is YH70M??
