Tiger S33; Another

Post by Pcomm1 »

Hello,

This 2004 Tiger IE was my first Tamiya tank and it is still running strong. I deleted the head lamps, smoke launchers and mud flaps per photos I saw of the real panzer in the book Tigers in Combat.

Nice looking tank john
I have split your post from my topic because you deserve a show off topic of your own

Hi BREL and Keith,

Thank you (didn't think this effort was all that deserving of a thread of its own) and I used a little 1/72 Scale Dragon Tiger IE panzer for the color – camo pattern idea. Don't know how accurate Dragon's camouflage interpretation is, but the model looks OK running outdoors.

Thanks, I find the WWII German Armored Forces Unit Symbols almost as interesting as their panzers:

not a problem john as I said I thought your S33 tiger deserved it's own show off thread because you have done a fantastic job on it

A little online model exposure and one thing seems to lead to another after posting Tiger S33. It is now transferred to a new unit.

Build it and paint well and you'll get your investment back from the Tamiya WWII rc tank kits (as long is your building the very popular German big cats, LOL).

Thank you forum. John

Included Upgrades, Items & Features for Tamiya Tiger IE S33:

1. ETO's Gear Reduction Units and Graupner Speed 400 Motors for scale speed control and improved torque for staying mobile and climbing various outdoor battlefield terrain while taking infrared hits.
2. Schumo Metal Barrel & Metal Muzzle Brake
3. Schumo Metal Antenna Mount (uses an internal rc antenna)
4. Daryl Turner gear box mount brace
5. Solid Tamiya turret rotation blue gear
6. Color Matched Tamiya Battle Unit in the commanders cupola with the LED emitter installed in the mantlet and the on/off switch accessible under the loaders hatch
7. Barrel flash included & installed
8. Futuba Attack 4 Channel AM RC ground radio and 3000 NiMH 7.2v tank battery
9. The Tamiya instructions are included with the model plus some plastic tree spare parts
10. Airbrushed Finished using Tamiya Paint and sealed with Testor's Dullcote
11. Flashing hull mount machine gun installed
12. Daryl Turner barrel recoil arm (tougher than the Tamiya kit plastic part)
