H/L KV help needed

Post by KV1s »

Hi Guys

The modding has finally started to kick in with me,(only taken 2 weeks) :haha: :haha: and i'm seeking a little help please

1) how do you split the plastic tracks?

2) is it possible to cut more teeth in the turret ring for 360 degree rotation?

Thanks in advance

looking side on at the tracks' there are little pins going through each link, get pin, or a tiny screw drive,r and push it out the other side ;)

you could 360 the turret, but the wires will eventualy all get tangled up on them self :'(

hi Kv ive done the 360 degree mod on all my tanks fairly easy to do you just need to file the "lump" on the ring to size and add the extra teeth that are moulded out

i used another turret ring as a guide for this

might be an idea to add a lttle lengh of chain between the the turret ring and somewere inside the hull to stop the rotation going so far as to twist the cables

I read somewhere about someone using a "rotating connection" that's used to keep your telephone cord from twisting. Seems like it might help in this 360-degree application. Has anyone tried this?

It would be quite easy to do,,the only wires that twist on my H/L are the 3 wires that move the barrel, fire the BBs..

I took the precaution of untwisting my wires to give me a few rotations in each direction as a safety net too
