Oh I ment both, did you shorten the cables for the motors on the gearboxes and replace the bullet connectors with deans ones?

I was thinking about it too, but i've decided the bullet connectors don't take up much space, and it easier to swap out if the gearboxes ever die. The cables are a bit long though, but shouldn't be too hard to tidy away. I want much better cable hygiene in the Sherman than my Tiger, its so small inside! lol

If you want a load more space, i'll post later in my build about how I cut down the speaker box, it vastly adds room.

Rik

No worries Rob, I stuck some primer on it earlier, it should be dry soon, then i'll take some pictures. Its a pretty simple cut down, easier than my Tiger's one was.

If you check out my build thread, you'll see some pictures of the speaker box. I opens up the inside quite a bit.

On your homemade brush guards, did you use strip brass? If so, what thickness did you use, and how did you get the curves in the headlight ones.

I'm thinking of saving myself some money and making my own.

Thanks Rob. I was trying to find strip of the appropriate size, but the smalles I could find was 1/4" widths.

I'm guessing they came out quite strong? I was either going to attempt it with brass, or just thin down the Tamiya part. That would be quite weak though.

Cheers,
Rik
