Hope you don't mind me busting in on your thread with my shameless self-plugging, nice build by the way.

Here are the Road Wheels I have on offer, I'm happy to swap for Panzer spares, perhaps other types, you'll have to tempt me

# 1) a Polystyrene 21mm diameter wheel, 7mm wide, 10mm axle to axle, supplied un-Carriaged or in Carriage Mount, the Carriage mount is 29mm long by 12.5mm wide with 2 mounting options, end lips or slot. (shown at left)

#2) an ABS 15mm Diameter Wheel, 9mm wide,15mm axle to axle.

#3) a PS Black 12mm Hub cap/cover (Textured Dome), 3mm high.

#4) a PS White 12mm Hub cap/cover (Textured Dome), 3mm high.

#5) a PS Black 13mm Hub cap/cover (Smooth Dome), 5mm high

Items 1 &2 will cease production in approximately 3 months.
Items 3,4 & 5 Production has ceased, I have less than 200 of each type left, maybe less.

Because of the track I'm using I cant use a solid road wheel, they will have to be split. I know I will find something that will make me happy sooner or later. I was thinking of getting some German Pz II or III road wheels in 1/16 scale. I don't know their diameter though.

I think sourcing 24 wheels is going to be your biggest problem without resorting to metal versions & the added expense, 1 option may be to place my wheels into a drill chuck & using a sharp tool, form the groove, however since the 15mm wheels are ABS Plastic which is hard it could present a challenge., as Nick has done using a double horn track is your best option for my wheels & accuracy.

No worries putting your wheels on here S.H. Guys I have the No2 wheels as shown here, they are in white ABS and two of them together (with a bit of sanding) will make 1 road wheel to fit inside the teeth of the mato sherman tracks I am using. Herman the Pnz III/ IV road wheels at 33mm or 2 2/8 Inches are twice the diameter you need. However the return rollers are 15mm which is only 1mm out. I was originally going to go with them but couldnt find enough. The Panzer III track is workable. As you can see in pretty much my first post here and on RCG, they are an acceptable substitute but, as you say they do have the central teeth. Neither the sherman or Pnz track is a perfect match, both have their pluses and minuses. I will post a couple of pics up here later showing what I have come up with guys

Ah yeah mate the top ones. I havnt worked on that yet , Im thinking a chopped up Biro or felt tip pen ? probably make them a tad bigger than scale to maintain function ?

Just a tip when using my wheels, place a slice (same width of wheel) of Heat Shrink tubing over the wheel & hold under boiling water to shrink giving it a simulated rubber surface.

Progress slow this last week but getting on with a little work. Ive stepped away from the track scoop/grouser things for now. But started on the wheel mounts. All 22 of them. Wheels are the ones shown in Scrap Hunters photos the No2 ones 15mm in diameter.

Hi Nick,
I have found that using the carbon tube for the grousers and CA, that it is quite strong. It may wear down faster than brass, but would be easy to repair in the field or at home without having to take the track off. I posted a quick how to for the springs in the track adjuster thread.
