paint removal

Post by JIMBO H »

Have to remove about 5 coats of paint from a 1/16 scale Tiger. Anyone know of a remover that won't hurt plastic?

EASY=OFF oven cleaner will work,let it sit 1/2 hour have a plastic bowl of hot water and a good stiff tooth brush srub after 1/2 hour with the hot water.then rinse and repeat.It was in the painting and weathering thread as after several coats I decided to start over and stripped my Tiger.It took about five treatments and it was bare plastic. The H/L Plastic is very tuff.Follow link to picture of my Tiger hull and the oven cleaner at work. http://rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/viewt ... 9&start=80" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
