Hi
I have been trying to find a Tamiya recoil unit for 2 days but I'm not 'avin much luck here. Where do I order a Tamiya recoil unit from please. Time Tunnel models want an awful lot for the part but dont have it, and they say I also need a Stay for it , what ever that is, but they dont know which is the smaller of the 2 types available cos they dont have any to look at....
Advice please. Is the Pershing recoil the smaller of the 2 Tamiya recoil units, and do I need this "stay" to mount it?
I need this for the Centurion build.
Many thanks
Mike

Re: Tamiya parts
Hi Mike,
To answer your question, yes the Pershing recoil is the smaller, its also used in the Panzer IV. The stay is like a metal mount for the recoil unit. You can make one up yourself quite easily.
Try this guy on ebay; Jason's Store He'll have the recoil units, a lot cheaper than Time Tunnel, but it does have to ship from Japan.
Cheers,
Rik

Re: Tamiya parts
hi folks,
many thanks for all the info.
I ordered the recoil today as Fleshy suggested, so I hope to have a prezzy on the mat when I get home. This is the final part for the Centurion so I hope to have it completed in a short while.... long time on the bench in bits and it's driving me a bit crazy.
I had a drive with my car club today from Stanstead to the Ace Cafe (near Wembly) for a re-union run, the roads were a bit manic because of the Cup Final, but the sunshine and the soft top down made up for it.
