Kill Mode Smoker Effect
Kill Mode Smoker Effect
I have been considering a new use for the Super Smoker, battlefield kill effect. If in an I/R battle how does someone no they are killed or any other tank is knocked out? Would an outpouring of smoke from engine grilles or hatches in a sudden cloud be a better effect? I am not an I/R tanker as mine are all Airsoft but with the development of this smoker I understand that most don't care for or need the exhaust smoker effect. So I have been considering the smoker for a kill identifier? I know that the effect it possible and that this unit at sudden full power operation will produce a large amount of smoke in 5-seconds and create a very real and noticeable effect. And from a much further distance a tank bellowing smoke from the turret, hatches or engine bay grills would be easy to see. Also much more realistic than a few flashing red L.E.D.'s. So guy's I would welcome some feedback on this idea, and welcome your comments. Thanks Blake

Re: Kill Mode Smoker Effect
Sounds like a good idea and could possibly be done by some of the electronic wizards on this site the other problem is space on a pershing or sherman fo there is no a lot of spare space even the king tiger dosn't have a lot of room but possibly enough room for a smoker Fleshy has a smoker in his pershing but its a custom made one and not the H L one.

The smoker Bill@rccommand is selling is the same size as the stock smoker, just a little taller and longer. But fits in the same space in all H/L TANKS.if the tank had a stock smoker this unit will fit.cheers Blake

Hi Phil(Blitz) Was working on this idea, dont know if he ever made it work ,the idea was to have it triggered by the DBC (I know the RC2HL has a death trigger point for sound)it could be posible to do it wiring a relay to this point to switch on the smoker.

Re: Kill Mode Smoker Effect
I/R triggers a flashing light at max number of hits received, the same signal could trigger a switch which starts the smoker and within a few seconds this unit will produce a cloud, the problem is how to reset the smoker for the next battle? Any idea's Pete,Stevie or Frank

This idea will have to wait,I am building a new gun system with some other members, this should be completed soon and I may find the time to pursue this idea. Blake
