Re: handles
Mine stems from having moved from Peterborough to Detroit close on 4 years ago now - it was supposed to be a 6 month temperary assignment, but they went and closed the old office while I was away so I stayed out here!

I live over the River Mersey from Liverpool so am not a real scouser so we are known as plastic scousers. Plastic as in fake and I figured the plastic bit also fits in with the modelling side

Re: handles
Well my favorite bomber growing up was the B17 and I was kind of a loner (models, trains and R/C building took most my time) so I thought of the poor chap at the rear of the bomber, Tailend Charlie. Important job and all alone. Ball Turret gunner just didn't sound right. Even though it fits the bill too!
You have nothing to fear, but fear its self. Or maybe a KT too!

Re: handles
yeah, "ball gunner" doesn't really come across all that well.....!

My online gaming name is "Banjoman" - thats stems from the guys I used to work with taking the 'proverbial' out of me bacause I was from Peterborough (which is at the edge of the Fens) - lots of comments about inbreading and having six fingers and being really good at playing the Banjo (Watch the film "Deliverance" and you'll understand
!)
I miss those days

Re: handles
Sad to say mine started life as a micky take by my good lady wife. She started calling me tankboy, tanks as in hobby boy as in mental age. So when I got started on the RC forums I just changed the boy bit to man to try and preserve a shred of dignity ( did not work she calles me worse things now LOL ). So I just keep the same "handle" on every forum I use makes life a bit easier all round. All the best for now
