Re: mato 4;1gearbox ,fitting upgrade motors
sorry i havent,same as forgebears .
Re: mato 4;1gearbox ,fitting upgrade motors
I don't have the 4:1 but the 3:1 Asiatam gearbox,my speed 400 Graupner motors are a tight fit but they fit, their spaced out 1.5mm for pinion gear clearance.if touching the gearbox frame is an issue you could use a cardboard divider to keep the motor from shorting on the frame, perhaps this will help.Sax
Re: mato 4;1gearbox ,fitting upgrade motors
THANKS i will give it atry let u know how i get on ,,
Re: mato 4;1gearbox ,fitting upgrade motors
Hi Speed 400 motors are the same size as the heng long motors (480 motors are longer) ,which are a lttle tight on some models even in standard fitting (panzer3) ,when I change them and they are close together I put a little shrink wrap on the wire before soldering the wire on then I slide is over the conection (you can also bend the tabs over to help give more clearance)but I dont shrink it just in case I need to change the motor. It gives it protection aganist shorting .

thanks for all help i tried too fit ,even bending tabs right back the only way i can see them fittingis too take 2-2.5mm of the pinion gear but even then the output shafts would b sticking too far out to linr up drive sprockets thanks once again...

thanks for all help i tried too fit ,even bending tabs right back the only way i can see them fittingis too take 2-2.5mm of the pinion gear but even then the output shafts would b sticking too far out to linr up drive sprockets thanks once again...i have just realised i may b confusing members.i have the highgrade gearboxes from forgebear, thes r fitted with 380 motors, the graupner speed 400 s r quite a bit bigger.
