Mato Shermans in the UK?

Post by grim_marmazet »

Has anyone seen any Mato Shermans on sale anywhere in the UK?

The only dealers I can find on ebay are in Australia or Canada. The Canadian one is RCDynasty. He looks a bit dodgy, has only a 3 day warranty, and doesn't show shipping cost.

Cheers,
Rik

Thanks guys, i've sent Dave a PM. Septon, that exactly what I want to do with my new Sherman.

Are you doing the full mod to get the suspension working properly?

Haha! Very true, well at least mine won't end up a 'ronson'.

I've seen Ethan's excellent conversion. In fact I just bought one of his excellent rotor shields, to go with the 75mm gun and mantlet Nick Aguilar produces.
I'm also going to get Nick's cast hull, transmission cover and split loaders hatch. I hope to do the full whack of upgrades, including recoil, smoker, switching MG's and RC controlled lights (but better than the default Tamiya way).

I want to give the suspension mod a go, and add Tailend Charlie's bearing mod to the wheels and idler. Did you use the original Tamiya sprocket? If so, how much did you cut it down by?

Cheers,
Rik
