Re: Another JagdPanzer IV V/70
Hi Mart , I didnt realise the rear return roller was lower . Have you raised the drive sprocket 3mm ? Im getting ready to start my Pz.IV Ausf. J late model build . Any tips on removing the road wheels without braking them , as my ones are glued on. Planing on spraying my other builds asap. My children are of school at the mo so bit busy . Keep up the excelent work. This is a build Id like to do some time . If you ever want any helpI have the excelent modeling the Jagdpanzer book and theres alot on the Jagdpanzer . Including many pictures.

Re: Another JagdPanzer IV V/70
Hi Mart ,
Very good build mate . Like I mentioned Im preparing for my late Pz.IV Ausf.J build . Ive adjusted the return rollers and altered to three .Im also removing the tow hitch points and altering them so there part of the supostructor . One thing Ive noticed although its a minor thing the HL suspension stop thingys the angled strengthining pieces should be on more of an angle . Ive altered my ones . But to be honest its such a minor detail its probaly not worth changing . Ive got the Asiatam track tensioners on order with Steve (
) for this PZ.IV build and for my other Pz.IV from Dave (
) . Ive got a set of late cleated Impact tracks ready for this ( never thought Id get any of theres ) of eBay . And also got a set of late cleated ones coming from Steve for my Stug III Ausf. G late version again I didnt think Id get these but Steve had an excelent deal on them
Ive Also removed the turret motor and exhaust from the rear . So I will use those exhausts I had from you . As for the barrels I think on this build I will use the one I had from you and the drive sprockets / idlers . I might fit recoil to the other one and the Asiatm sprockets and idlers.

Now she's taking shape and looking VERY good. I must do one of these if I can figure out how to get the detail parts scratch built. Keep those pictures coming.
Alan
PS one quick question did you have to cut the front off the chassis to get the new nose to fit ?. What's the chance of a picture of this arean please.

The front of the chassis is still there, apart from a little bit of cutting above the drive axles the resin parts slip right over.

very nice ,very clean work too i plan to build a jagdpanzer on my half done panzer iv when i get my kv-1 and panzer 3 out of the way (imperial-modelbou, not modelino)
Re: Another JagdPanzer IV V/70
After looking at the Tamiya Panzer IV I can see why you moved the rear return roller down the HL position is incorrect its to high will need to do that and remove the other roller on mine .
