Re: Finally arrived in the Shed/Workshop
Well its been a busy week at work, which is a downer, but when I got home Thursday night, there was a little parcel on my doorstep, containing some tiny split pins, tack pins, some 8ba long bolts and wingnuts. So the following morning I made for the shed and spent 1.5hrs in there before work, in that time I installed the 8ba bolts and wingnuts, then started putting the split pins in the track pins (finished the pins 9pm Friday night so ready for Model-Ex 2010 Saturday and Sunday), anyway pins is pins but the bolts and wingnuts ment I could use the track link holders.

I appriciate this isn't quite as it should be, but I wanted them to be workable over spot on.

Re: Finally arrived in the Shed/Workshop
I started the mudguards Monday/Tuesday, then started with some stomach bug and lost interest in well everything to be honest, but today I managed to eat some hot food, and keep it down and felt much much better for it, so spent some time this afternoon chilling in the shed.
I've added the extra detail on the exhaust, and you may see that the view ports have got their armoured guards

I've quickly offered up the mudguards (bluetacked to model) to see how they look, just about ran out of 8ba short bolts for now, I under estimated how many I needed, well way under estimated, but not a problem I'll get some soon.

A slightly better picture, as the sun is really out today 25 degree C in the shed.

Cheers Cliff, I'm getting the build bug, I'm not sure what I will do when this one is finished, I guess it will be back to the opal blitz and getting that finished.
Your not alone on the saving front, I see Mr Bailey is on the same road, what I need is more shed, so a clear out I think

Re: Finally arrived in the Shed/Workshop
Well I'm still on the road to recovery, but as the day has been glorious, I managed to slope away to the shed in the afternoon, here are the results.
Firstly I have attached the front mudguards to the Hetzer using just about all my 8ba nuts and bolts, dremmel day tomorrow trimming them down.

You'll notice the exhaust is missing, I managed to get it off the tank and it is being acid etch primed in my no expense paint booth, so while thats in there I decided to fit the vent gril and adjustable cover.

I had a visit from the battery fairy yesterday evening so 4 x 12v 7amp to give the 24v debate a go.
