Post by Doodledoo »

Guys,

Got a bit of a wobbly main barrel (oooer missus, lol) when going over rough terrain on my HL Tiger 1, are there any mods to prevent it at all?

thers quite a bit of up and down play in the tiger1 barrel, its even worse with the asiatam recoil fitted, when i get around to it im going to try fitting some sort of damper in mine eg either a spring or some thick foam to try and stop the bounce

It is exactly how Ice mentions it, the up and down movement of the main barrel. Ice, can you give me more info on the spring idea?

Also, I was watching a programme on the History channel recently about the Tiger 1 and how it couldn't fire its main barrel whilst on the move as it was so powerful, if they did it would have damaged the turret. The tank had to stop (making it a vulnerable target),swing its turret to the target, fire and then move off.
One thing I noticed was that there was very little recoil motion with the tank body, is there any way of adjusting the severity of the recoil motion in my HL Tiger 1?

the basic idea was to fix a pin/lug to the inside top of the turret and also to the breech, then add a spring like the one you get on plastic clothes pegs, this should act as a damper, as i say this is only theory at the moment,
