VVSS Sherman in the Snow

Post by grompix »

Opened the curtains this morning to be confronted by a sheer expanse of crisp white snow. So I couldn't resist taking out my VVSS Sherman to see how it would fare wading through the frozen white stuff.

As you can see, it worked very well despite the narrow tracks. But then again the snow wasn't very deep - just right for 1/16th scale I reckon.  ;D

Yeah it was great fun - cold but fun!
That's one advantage! living in the North East does have - its usually cold, windy and wet! I've often thought it must be really tough living further south having to cope with all that warmer weather LOL!
I need to get myself a camera tripod though as it is a bit of a problem holding the camera and driving the tank at the same time.  I need about four hands! That's why you don't see many shots of the tank moving, turning and turret rotating/firing at the same time. My better half has offered to video the tanks while I drive them but she's not too good with the camera so I end up doing it all myself.
Still - good fun though!
;D ;D

hehe, i know what you mean about the camera, try filming a battle between 2 tanks, even if you can put the camera down! if they are both in the same shot... it looks rather funny! one tank moves and shoots then stops, then the other does the same and they kep swapping!! ;D ;D ;D

lol

cheers mate,

Hi Tony

The build thread for my Sherman is up on "spit" RC-Universe!  >:(

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_77737 ... ey_/tm.htm

Better be quick though as the rate those guys are deleting UK posts it might not be there for long!

I think I might put it up again on this forum.  ;D

Cheers
