Hi Ice, Thanks mate . The angle they hang looks a little out but the tops not sitting on the tub correctly just yet as I need to reduce the height of the gear cassings . As Ive raised the drive sprocket. Its simple to alter I will just have to file the angleed piece.

Flaming heck Andy got me thinking about getting another Panzer IV upper hull and converting that to a late model as it will drop right onto the "paper Panzer " chassis. BUT I must resist for now as I have 4 projects on the go as is. Keep up the good work and lots of pictures so I can pinch all your good ideas lol.

hi all Thanks for the comments . As for loads of projects I know that one he he  When I get the bits for this Pz.IV Im buying two sets ready for my next project the Pz.IV Ausf H Normandy model . Any help , just ask. Today Ive reduced the gear casing heights so the top fits on . And Ive also bolted the casings to the tank . The transmission covers and hatches came today ( Thanks Steve  ) The transmission covers are on . Can I ask does anyone know what size the allen key needs to be for removing the suspension on the Pz.IV ? My dads a model enginer and he has bucket loads of allen keys but cant seem to get one to fit the Chinnese ones :/ . I might end up making one to fit. Well its the weekend now so time with kids . Be back on this next week .

Ive decided to move the cupola . Its a very slight move and you can hardly tell . I used a spray can lid to make the ring and used L shaped styrene with bolt heads fitted for the mounting points. The cupola lid , which is the late lift and swivel version is made from styrene with a metal lift handle. I need to fit a spring to this yet.

Hi Stevie , Alan. Thanks mate , heres some more . My children break up next week for two weeks so Im afraid the Pz.IV will take back seat for a while. I added the sighting vain to the cupola , re made the rain gutters out of thin steel shim plate . The later ones didnt have the stops on the ends . I also added the mounting bolt heads , these need sanding down slightly . I then moved onto the handles these are just bent wire and fitted into the original HL mounting holes .The three crane mounting points are beads pinched :shifty: from my daughter . I just need to add the drain holes and weld around them. Next job is the roof mounted fan , self defence weapon . Id like just to add I might re do the crane mounting points as they look large in the photos but not so bad in real life ?

Ive had ago at the roof fan . Ive put the chop out ready for fitting the self defence weapon and also added the mounting plate for the poison gas detector . I then altered the frontal armour and added the later style tow hook points . Some times these were re enforced . Im unsure if Im doing that just yet . I also made the rear tow points to but Im thinking of removing the rear mud flaps so that the tow hooks will be visable.
