Didn't Mato have some sort of agreement with HL not to sell to Europe. I seem to recall that when the Matorro King Tiger came out they could only sell to Canada and the US and people in Europe had to get them from a European supplier. So that we had to pay the "right" price.

Torro.de are the European distrubutor for those products (hence ma-torro). I have bought spares from them via a German speaking co-worker, and was happy with the service (tho he wasn't happy with the iPhone I shipped him in return - some b*****d stole it enroute!)
If this thread had come around before I ordered the Matorro Tiger I the other night, I would have added "Sell me 5 Shermans and 3 Cromwells!!!!" to the special shipping instructions - oh well, there's always next time  :-[  ;D

mato do sell to people in europe, ive had stuff from them in the past, i did try getting a KT from them when they come out, but they would only ship to the us and canada because they were doing a special deal on the postage(free)but they will ship to the uk if you want to pay the postage, which is not cheap from canada,  the people to watch is this site http://www.mmodell.de/ they are a german site but they hear about all the new releases before anyone else, so keep an eye out here and you will know before most whats in the pipeline, there is talk of a british tank coming out, but as ever you never know when

Dear Robert,

Thanks for your email.  I am so glad and proud to hear that there is that many tanker groups worldwide.  This is a great  thing.  We hope that the "sport" of tanking never deceases.  We will speak to the factories in regards to your suggestions.  Simply put, the just make sense.  And a BIG LOL for the Mr. heng Long Comment, that was great!

OK, message sent:

Hi,
I heard there was a petition going around the UK 1/16 tank owners forum to demand british tanks from Heng Long (http://www.rctankwarfare.com/Forums/index.php)
As a loyal customer (who is also happens to be from England originally) I DEMAND that you sell me many Cromwells, Crusaiders, Churchills and Matillda's!!
I would also point out that there are many Canadian's out there who are also interested in buying the tanks that their Fathers and Grandfathers went to war in :)
Even a good early model (VVSS) sherman would be a start (firefly as an upgrade?) - Heng Long and Mattoro have generously provided us with lots of german armour (which is great) but very few allied tanks to fight back with...
I hope that our many emails give you some leverage with the factory!
Many Thanks!
Martin
