Andy it just keeps getting better.every time I review this thread something else jumps out at me.The Zimmerit must have been very trying on your patience. The side skirt brackets are excellent, can't wait to see the finished product. Cheers Blake

Hi Blake thanks for the comments. The zimmerit was'nt to difficult I made a stamp ( not hard took me about 30 mins) and used milliput . Ive just got one rear skirt to fit now its difficult to get them to sit level although in combat Im sure they got knocked about a bit . And hopefully along with my other builds its spraying time.

Hi Littletank man thats an awsome looking stug you got going there. Youve done a few things i hope to do to mine so i hope you dont mind if i pick your brain?
What were the area dimentions of the wood stamp you made for the zimmerit? The proportions of the waffle sections look spot on mate.

Re: Stug III Ausf.G
Hi mate , thanks for your comments . My ones no waiting to be sprayed . Im doing my Panther A at the mo . But ran out of paint and so has my local model store
. The zim tool first I made in 15mm x 15mm compared to a 1:35 model in my Stug III modeling book this gave me two squares on the superstructor like his . But on the other parts it looked out of scale . So the one I used is 10mm x 10mm I used a piece of hardwood . The squares in it seemed to vairey on Stugs I went for 5 x 5 I think and just cut slots into the stam both ways and the used a very small V file to clean out the slots . I also varnished it to help stop the milliput sticking to it . Any other help mate just ask
Andy

Re: Stug III Ausf.G
At last a cammo scheme . I used Tamiya paints but mixed the colours to get the required shades . The actual colours are lighter than in the photos . Ive still got the skirts to spray . These picts are streight after spraying and other than paint the rubber wheels and comandors cupola lid padded area nothing else has been done yet.

Re: Stug III Ausf.G
That settles it Andy I am sending my Stug up to you so you can finish it for me
. Nice job mate I told you it would look great with the paint on
. Cracking job all round, hope mine is half as good when I get round to it. Only minor drawback is the dear wife has got me decorating the living room this week so not a lot of chance to get on with mine
. All the best for now
Alan

Re: Stug III Ausf.G
Hi Alan thanks for the comments mate . I ran out of paint so I left the skirts I will be doing them next . And them Im onto the Pz.IV late J build . Decorating uum , sorry to hear that mate . As for the shades I wanted a more washed out look . I used standard Tamiya paints / thiners but mixed them . when I first sprayed my Tiger I used streight out of the can Tamiya paints rather than mixing them and I was never impressed . Although my Pz.IV build will be the hard line cammo I might strugle with it .
