Creeping Death Turrets - February
Guys
Thought you might be interested to hear about the new turrets from creeping death rc. I mailed them to ask when they would be releasing the new system. This was their reply.
'very soon as one by one we are winning our patent and legal cases and are moving now briskly through the legal system. I anticipate early to mid Feb at this point.the new gun system is one hell of a jewel!!!'
I've started saving already.

Re: Creeping Death Turrets - February
Hello every one,Me and Ern have been waiting for 10-months for this system,Shelby @Creeping Death has promised us the first two of these,they are to be available for all HENG-LONG,WSN.TORRO,and other tanks.The news is good but the release date has been pushed out several times now due to Legal issues.The system is designed to be 4-times stock FPS and Paintball ammo being the prevalent ammunition. I have been waiting for this system a long time,Shelby has kept in touch with me and continues to keep me and Ern advised about projected release dates.This system will change combat as 6mm12gram paintball ammo is easy to find and many colors are available,so with so many colors it would be easier to determine who shot who.We can only hope Shelby get's his design to market. Patiently waiting- Blake http://creepingdeathrc.netfirms.com/see ... /index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

hi blake sounds good but not many of us in the uk are ok about shooting each others treasured models with paint bb's
I for ine wouldnt want my tank shot by a bb let alone a paintball one from a system 4x more powerfull.
Just my thoughts

I know what you mean!
Initially I bought a 1/24 BB Abrahams for Jack (my 5 year old) for Christmas then spotted the Heng Long scene. Which I then bought a upgraded Panther G as my present. Over the holiday we put up the tower scaffold in the middle of the lawn to keep us above the fire fight below and had a blast using paint and BBs. I then thought I would buy a cheapy from the bay and use that as the every day tank as mine was getting beat up and I wanted to do a quality rebuild.
Bought a metal Tiger 1 for £55.00 so phase 1 of the plan complete.
However the range of upgrades and shiny bits to my magpie eye was too much and phase 2 took a nose dive.
Resulting in £200. already spent on shiny bits, two tanks in a state of construction and Jack shooting paintballs at his sisters dolls. I’m going to go out and get him to stop once I’ve painted this next bit……

I cannot truthfully tell you my view on the Creeping Death system as I gave my word to hold my opinion for a time.Bobengland brought up the subject and having inside information I responded with the information on their web site and told to me first hand by Shelby who runs that operation. My reason's for Paintball are more centered around my 1/6 scale Tiger which will be build with combat as the goal,and the only 1/6 scale combat group I am aware of is here in the south,and they are active.The I/R battling you guy's participate in works well because you have clubs and rules.For me I have meet one tanker in Memphis,So when I purchased the 1/6 Tiger it was with battling in mind and the group I am posting a link to.I wish I had others to enjoy this hobby with,but I don't.check this site out,you have to give these guy's credit 90%of these tanks are scratch built and some have really done their engineering very well.Cheers Blake http://www.rctankcombat.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Re: Creeping Death Turrets - February
Another option if you are afraid of spoiling your tanks paint job is to use the biodegradeable BBs... Perry S has a youtube video showing how they break up on impact and leave a small chalk-like mark on the tank where hit. He shot them out of a VSTank so there was more velocity than the standard HL guns.
Thanks for posting Sax... I'm pumped up again! But which tank will get the upgrade first...

Re: Creeping Death Turrets - February
Well for me Ern it will have to be my First Tank,my Tiger S13 which has been a constant frustration when it comes to the gun system.The most cantankerous,obstinate,piece of equipment of anything I own.It will work perfect one moment and then the barrel will jam,or the gun recoil will pull back to slow and the two barrels will not seat with one another.As long as we have waited for this system it should be plug and play straight from the box.I will post an update when I receive word from Shelby@Creeping Death. By for now Blake
Re: Creeping Death Turrets - February
For those that do a great deal of detailed modeling on their tanks, I fully understand not wanting to use BBs to battle. There's no point in breaking off the carefully crafted bits and pieces. But, for those that make mostly internal upgrades and just paint it, BBs won't matter as much. The paintballs are water soluble; so, after dull coating the tank you can remove the evidence of the battle with a wet rag and go again.
There are some marking BBs out now, too, that just leave a dust mark that you can wipe off.
I've been tracking their turrets for a little while now. They were talking about these new ones in Aug 08. So, if they are finally being released, that would be awesome. That would be in plenty of time for the HL/Asiatam/Tamiya Tiger that I want to build this summer.
Link to the BBs: http://www.pyramydair.com/s/p/Game_Face ... _Orange/68" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and a thread elsewhere about them: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8898842/tm.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. For those in the States, Wal-Mart carries these BBs.
