Hi They work on Tamiya DMD/MF units ,it is wired in before it gets to them ,as for the settings with it being on the Pershing which has a funny start sequence compared to every thing else (the engine start is switch on get rough idle then blip the throttle engine idle then you have to blip the throttle full revese to make the tank move)so the settings on mine give it max slow acceleration stopping is set to the max roll and still be able to start it(have to put the throttle to full revese then blip to make it move). With DMD/MF units fitted in the German tanks or the Sherman you dont have this start sequence .The funny thing is the steering dosnt seem to be badly affected with the chip installed ,but you do have to think in front about stopping if I am near to anything I move the tank very slowly which is what you would do in real life,so it makes for more realistic driving.

regards pete
These chips may be able to fit to other systems such as the El-Mod or Darkiths RC2HL but why bother they have momentum on the boards its only Tamiya that dont have any kind of momentum.

I suppose these thing can't be fitted to HL electronics then?
With the 3 to 1 'boxes and tx mod, something that'd add inertia would really make an HL Tiger drive like a 50 tonner should.

Cheers,

ahhh...missed that obvious flaw...I should pay more attention..... :/

However, thankfully I can redeem myself by mentioning to Miggers that the Darkith unit does the job for HL and in a much better way (you get brakes for one thing), proper turning etc.

Guys, is this still going to work well (give nice accelerationg and braking effects, etc.) with WeCoHe £290 gearbox upgrade (which makes the Tiger 2 move "in scale" anyway)???

I'm sorry but I don't understand. Why would it get messy? If my question was silly please, explain... ;)

If the tank is not started with the tracks off the ground , when you start it up and move forward , until you know when it will stop you may well crash into something as the turngiy will not respond too the reverse until it is set up , even full reverse will not halt it so ,place tank with tracks off and play with the settings until you think it will be ok, then find a good open space and practise if it starts too slow or stops too slow then you can dial in what you want.........
