Stug III Ausf.G
Re: Stug III Ausf.G
I would like to have a look at the skirt plans Andy just to see how much work is involved. Also any pictures of late model Stugs you may have as I am still undecided as to go for a late model or not. The areas that I need are the barrel lock, remote machine gun, loaders door and close defence weapon ( roof area in general ). Any info would be welcome.

Hi Alan,
Hi mate the skirt mounting brackets are relatively easy . I will PM you regarding this , The hatch is easy Ive ordered some hinges of Steve , think hes waiting on them coming in stock . You can buy a self defence weapon realetvly cheep ( I do make them sometimes) , the RC MG mount is a little fidley but not to bad . From what I have seen of the barrel lock that shouldnt be to difficult . I made a working one for my Panther A relatively easly , just fiddley
Have a look at my Panther A build in the HL section.

Hi mate not on a oct 44 model . Did I list for you all the mods you would need ? As for the skirts I was thinking of doing one of my Pz.IVs with the mesh skirts . As with them you have two hooks on the top of the skirts and on the track guard you have a loop with another one that folds down . This is so the wider tracks can be fitted as the skirts can sit thourgther out .

Ive made one C hook holder today . The Heng Long Stug III comes with a S hook but as my Stug is a may 1944 version it would still have the C hooks . Its made from brass ,

You can see from this picture without the C hook . I have altered these now by removing the milliput and adding a piece of brass . Please see latest pictures.

Heres a couple of shots of the mantlet , RC MG / re-designed loaders hatch and the skirts mounted as requested . The skirts still need a slight bit of allteratiuon to get them to hang better .
