HL Bulldog Trans Mod?

Ok i like the scale look of the tank for display purposes but i really would like it to go a little faster top speed does anyone know if i could just remove all tranny gears and run the motor right on the gear thats on the drive shaft? Or maybe even the next one in line cause i dont know if i can get the pionion on the motor to line up with the shaft gear because its too far towards the outside. either way i would be using some 27 turn 540 motors and i would use the side of the tranny case to make the motor mount what do you guys think?

If you want faster, change motors and put on pinion with more teeth at correct pitch. gearbox ratio changes...PITA. And new motor position has to fit hull , too. Don't draw too much power and fry your esc ic's either...

How fast you want to go? why? I guess scale speed does not matter to you ...?
MAybe add a higher voltage batt pack...but not too much
