KV-1 just arrived

Post by Steenv »

Hello fellow tankers

So, a HL KV-1 came my way :D I was somehow excited to get it, as I really was sceptic about this investment. But but but - shame on me. It is a great tank, very big, nicely detailed, rather heavy compared to a standard HL. The only thing to complain about is the color. It is just playground green, so the first thing I had to do was to give it a repaint before it could eran a place next to my SturmTiger :~

Well, I took some pictures and uploaded them on www.panzerteam.dk so take a look and tell me what you think. Doing a search for KV-1 here did not bring any results, so I guess I am the only one here with a KV-1, or ??????

Cheers

A few of us on here have KV-1s, myself included and your're right it's a great model from HL.

Mine is totally stock at the moment, but I am waiting on some home brewed 3:1s from Miggers, then it will get a repaint and maybe some detail parts if I can afford 'em (money is soo tight at the mo).

Hi Andy,
I found this deal on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT which include metal gears, metal belts and sprockets and idlers

Its a great deal for all those things. When money allows it, I will get a set of that.

I have searched for a russian tank commander, but I have not been able to locate any. Any hints ?

cheers

Hi Steen, Trumpeter did two 1/16 tank crew figures ref TM-00701 & TM-00702 in the catalogue of their UK distributor Pocketbond (this isn't Trumpeters ref). Hope this helps

Absolutely love my KV-1! At 14lbs she's a bit clumbsy, but not many things will stop her. :D

I'm also trying to put together a 1:18 Russian TC without any luck. I think I am just going to have a friend cast a helmet for me.
