I love the way it moves now, especially when it climbs over something an reaches the tipping point, when it lands, there's the slight bounce you see on the real ones.
When you say air gun, do you mean airbrush? I have got one, just a basic set with a compressor from ebay. I just need to wait until payday for some more paint and thinners, and the plasticard and compass cutter I need to do the turret protection ring.

This is the one I bought. It comes with 2 double action airbrushes. I was looking at the Iwata HP-C as well. Its got amazing reviews. I think i'll get some practice with this one first though.

I've finished the tow cable mounts. They weren't too bad to go together, though the posistioning is tricky.

First an overview of the upper deck, The tools are in place, but the cables and barrel cleaning rods will be glued in place after painting.

The next shows the front clamps.

The middle clamps.

Finally the rear clamps. These were the ones I had trouble posistioning. After looking at many pictures of real Tigers and models, it seems there was no real standard posistion for these. They were welded to the hull in approximate posistions. I went with what looked good and would fit the cables without too much tension on the clamps. Also in this picture you can see the start of the battle damage, i added the 'sag' and punctures to the wire covers over the radiator and fuel tanks.
Image

Just a couple of little adjustments to show as well. I relocated the electrical cable for the left hand central S-mine launcher. I discovered in photos it was located to the side of the launcher.
Image

And the finished barrel cleaning rods. They're just cocktail sticks cut to length and varnished, with a small piece of brass tube on the end and an M1 screw thread glued in one end.

I just need to wait till payday to get the final bits I need and then its on to the painting! :D

Cheers,
Rik

Hi Rik Ive had a look in my modeling the Tiger book and the place you have put the tow cable mounts at the rear of the tank is correct mate . Acording to the book all the verations of Tiger deck lay outs show them in the same place . I supose tho in practice there was vereations .

keep up the good work Andy
