Hi I thought about that at the moment its just the HL ones . Does it make a great deal of differance on the Stock tub compared with the Asiatam tub ? Thanks for your comments . I altered my Tiger and Panther to smoke correctly . I think it looks better although its not that visable on the Pz.III system .

Thanks Andy

well, I think the asiatzm aluminum and steel and plastic hull with torsion rods and several suspension support points is probably the better of the two. Although, If I had to choose an HL tub to use, it would be the Stug!

Hi Xrad . I agree . I realy mernt tho would the changing of the springs in the swing arms have as much effect on the stock HL tub all be it with metal suspension compared with the Asiatam tub .

Thanks Andy

Hi Been doing the rear panel today . Ive added the side deflectors now . The next thing Im trying to sort out is the towing point . I know late 44 they fitted the ridged towing bar but prior to that ? Ive seen Stugs with no towing mount , with swivel tow mount with sing fitting coming from the Stug rear and a tow bar thats C shapped that allows a pin to drop through it ? Ive opted for the last one . although Ive read that Miag and Alkit Stugs had several vereations ? Here is some pictures of the rear plate . I might re design the towing point or remove it altogether , views ?

One impressive looking Stug you are building there Andy. I bottled going for the very late model Stug and went with a mid production one in order to keep the standard machine gun mounting. However looking at yours I'm tempted to have a go now. Any chance of a few close up pictures of the remote machine gun and the modified hatch. If it seems it's not to much work ( due to limited scratch building skills ) I might just have a go at it. Must say the zimm job is fantastic and sets off the model well. Keep those pictures coming

Hi Alan ,Thanks for your comments , Yer its not as hard as I thought mate . The hatch I just removed the HL one with the intention of re using the hinges but one set clips inside the other on top . So I removed it then made styrene replacement hatches . And you can get the Asiatam replacement hinges 10 in a pack 5 of each type so Im getting them . Steve is trying to get some in  . Then Im going to add the other detail later . The MG mount I just cut two shields from thin brass sheet and shaped them . Baring in mind the little chop out at the bottom is smaller one side than the other ( as I found out later  ) . The actual mount I just cut from a lump of styrene and shaped ot around a schumo MG34 . All ther time comparing it with pictures of originals . I then drilled a hole through the end to take a bolt so it could be mounted to the tank . On the tank I removed all the shield mounting pieces and filled the holes . And drilled a hole through the top to mount the MG mount ( being carefull not to hit anything on the inside ) . Next I added some metal washers to form the mounting point . These I sat on some milliput to help make it sit level then glued the mount to the milliput . Once this was dryed I just bolted the mount to the tank . I havent fixed the MG34 to it just yet as I need to spray the tank so Ive just blue tacked it on for the photos . It sounds alot but beleive me its very simple . The mounts by far not 100% acurate but its ok for me . I will try and get some close up pictures for you . But have ago and the gun mount and see what you get its worth ago then if your happy the mount it . The zimmnerit every site I looked at the zim tool had sold out so I made my own one out of hardwood a lot cheeper to
All the best Andy

PS a couple of picts from my build if they help if not just ask mate .
