Well ok it aint a tank but its a jeep. Every air force needs an airfield follow me Jeep but you cant buy em. So, took a Standard gate jeep, ( the fire red one) , stripped it down, resprayed it and layed dozen of bits of decal check to build me a airfield jeep as below. And the good thing is it shows well in the snow!
That's a P-51,loaded with 6x50cal.serious fire power.Twenty kill flags,and long range drop tanks.This bad boy goes the distance,and the jeep must have at any airfield.Man that paint work must have been a labor of patience.Very nice.
It is always those little items you really never think about that make a scene. Now I have seen hundreds of pictures of those typevehicals but never gave them a second thought until I saw your work. That is a very interesting and welcome bit of model building. History is made of bits and pieces. To even forget a small part risks getting the whole picture out of focus. Great work!
