Hi all
Hi. My name is simon and I am jumping into the tank scene in a big way which might just come back and bite my A**
. My friend and myself have started to scratch build a 1/8 panzer III ausf N in metal... Little did I realise the costs involved and the complicated setup of a tank. I have also bought a Heng Long panzer III to study and gain ideas from by stripping it down and seeing how it works. So far we have fabricated the lower body, cut and machined 300 track pieces, cut, machined and drilled 24 aluminium blocks which will hold the suspension axels and also cut, machined, drilled, and tapped 32 suspension arms. I bought 48 tyres from knex in usa that are the exact size we need for the bogey wheels. Tomorrow we are fitting the bronze bushes into the suspension blocks and then fitting the axels into them. I(f anyone wants to see some photos let me know and if anyone has any advice or ideas I would love to hear them as already stated, we are complete beginners and I'm sure we will need advice as we progress through this project.

Thank you all for the nice welcome and comments.Should I post the photos in the "show off" forum or can I upload them on this forum....

Re: Hi all
I think the large scale military forum would be better, here is a link http://rctankwarfare.co.cc/forums/viewforum.php?f=150
