hi all

now its not a tank and i guess matt and the team may move this

but .. just looking round evilbay as waiting to collect the misses form work so not realy doing tank ..

i found an ultimate soldier / bbi .. 1/18 f-14 tomcat !

it huge ! .. and i cant afford it . but i just got to get one !

i now i am bonkers .. bust i jsut love the dand thing

Tomcat's always been my fav plane. I cried when I found out what the US gov did to them

chopped them up in the desart bone yards . its a crime .. but there just too old now and well to expensive to maintain ,,,,

They were decommissioned because they were too expensive to maintain but unlike most decommissioned aircraft none of them were sold off. They chopped them all up (except one), and the reason they were all sold off was because they didn't want Iran getting any spare parts for their F-14s.

So the only chance you’ll get of ever seeing an F-14 fly again is if you go to Iran.

I run a board for 1:18 scale stuff and can say the F-14 was a dream come true. My partner is working on a full blown review as we speak. :)

Cross your fingers for the F-15 Strike Eagle and SU-22 this year. :crazy:
