UPDATED VIDEO!!! HL Tiger 1 many options...

Post by Yellowshaker »

Hi guys and Happy Holidays I'm new to this forum and wanted to share my Tiger. It's my first tank and I added a whole lot of goodies to it. They include 3:1 gearboxes, Asiatam lower hull with full metal running gear, Creepingdeath thunder 1, rctankwars' DBC/TBU battle system, asiatam recoil unit. I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, but here's some pics and video of the tiger before recoil was added. I just finished that today.

Hi Yellowshaker and welcome to the forum, looking at your Tiger i see you are not new to the rc tank world, i see a lot of time and money has gone into it and it looks great for it, i especially like the bent fenders and the weathering, great job

That's just how a battle weary Tiger should look. Excellent work, I love it.

Thanks alot guys. Yes, this is my first Rc tank. I have done models before, but no armor stuff...mostly hotrod cars and such. I used to be into Nitro cars and trucks and was looking into aircraft until I realized that one false move might end that hobby. I saw that Tiger online and found a new home. I am lanning to buy something now that this is done but I don' know what to get.
Here's a vid of most of the build

If you would like another nice big German Tank try the Jagdpanther or Panther"G" good size and plenty of photos for paint schemes. Here is a picture of my TIGER. Cheers Blake

Very nice Tiger. The tank I really want is a Sherman, but my trouble is deciding if I want to jump into a Tamiya first or buy the Mato and mod the heck out of it.

I would say buy the Tamiya Sherman since a modded Mato would quickly climb to the $500 mark and this also allows you to decide Tamiya or modded heng Longs from that point forward. I still can't take the Tamiya plunge even though I have 2 +$500 HL's. :)

How did you bend up the fenders? I want to do minor waves on my KV-1 and was thinking a soldering iron underneath the fender might get the job done.
