1/8 scale tanks

Post by xrad »

This company sells 1/8 and 1/6 scale tanks. Looks like well detailed kit ...and the price is much better than 7-9000$ but it's still expensive. Mostly plastic with a few metal pieces.

They now have die cast aluminum tracks.  Anyone build one?

For 1/8 u may consider mark-1, a chap from Hong Kong just recently purchased a 1/8 Tiger 1 from them and it has done over 4 hrs of running outdoor without a single fault whatsoever. That chap's rough driving style has caused few metalguards to bend and dented, but hey!! That's what battle damages are made of!!

I spoke with the RCarmory owner. The Stug III with metal tracks and very well made wheels and fitings of plastic. It would be nice to combine the tracks and wheels form this kit with portions of the stug IV metal body of the 'big scale tanks" kit.

The rcarmory kit Stug III should be out early next year.

I have no idea. These are not 'expensive' tanks and are mostly fiber/plastic. If I remember, he shows some offroad video whic is pretty impressive (tiger?)

Stug III with aluminum tracks and well made wheels, I am sure you could fab a better suspension and drive system. The link is very helpful.
