Yes I've seen the vid it does look impresive, just don't have the time at
present to devote to the mod.Do you know if the Modellbau unit is
sensitive to low voltage ie.could it stop working if the voltage got
below say 6v.

oh yeah, forgot that one. Doh!
... check your battery...

Re: Jagdpanther HL with Tamiya upgrade
Hi xrad, solved the problem of the dead Modellbau unit.
The harness from the upper hull to the RX18 board at the
RX18 end has a 7 pin and 2 pin plug on it,the 2 pin plug
can fit in a number of positions in the 7 pin socket along
side the 7 pin plug, just had to get the right one. Also
the Modellbau unit is voltage sensitive, once the voltage
dropped below a certain level it cuts out and the tank
resumes it jerking on firing and as my version had the
additional flash option that stopped working as well,
however even on low voltage the tank continued to work
as if the Modellbau unit had never been installed, charged
the battery and normal operation resumed. This may be of
interest, the original recoil and flash was hopelessly out of
sink, with the Modelbau unit with flash option the synch seems
to have improved, still not right but a lot better,I wonder if there
is an additional circuit under the covering that controls the flash,
an adjustable pot would be nice to find.

Re: Jagdpanther HL with Tamiya upgrade
No flash circuit in modellbau unit...only a timer circuit operating a relay.
Re: Jagdpanther HL with Tamiya upgrade
Could'nt resist cutting it open then?????
