You'll like the new layout at Bovington.

the tank museum ..

yes nice new lay out ....but the shop was crap .. a former shadow of its self .. as a shop i would actualy give it 2 out of 10 ..

bring back mrs brown form about 10 years ago ... she was just brill and had the shop stocked with almost evey tank kit that was out and about then and a superb range of books

.... i ,looked yesterday and was horrified to see more stuff about dorset and fudge sweets almost no kitts or book

unless you want to see the tanks .. miss it out and head for plastic pastimes ... and have a mad few hours looking at kits

£9:50...ruddy hell I didnt know there were any 5 star hostels in Dorset. Are you getting a bed thrown in for that or are you sleeping under page 3 ??????

Have a great time, I am sure just being away from work is wonderful enough so throw in a big boys toy shop and you have heaven.

Have a good break Mike

Just returned went to Bovvy yesterday Monday. Great time to go there was more staff than visitors. Got to see most things but it got a bit too much for Debs so left her in the restaurant with a coffee and some womans mags. Infact there was a lot of reading material in the canteen for woman so partners take note.

The displays were excellent and got a lot of reference material for my panzer III im doing. The shop was ok stocked with loads of models and books although these type of shops dont excite me as they used to as a kid as all is so readily available on line and ebay and cheaper to, so i didnt buy anything. I will post pics on my web site in due course.

Got a free return pass as well to be used upto next 30th November 2010 so looking forward to the next time
