Post by 971wright »

Hi Guys With the new Panthers out now be sure when you order that its the new one and not the Pantiger Here is one for sale on e-bay Pantiger that is but its on at what you would expect the new one to sell for, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RADIO-CONTROLLED- ... 35a4e6e809
Make sure you buy from someone you know Or have been reccommended to you .

Remember Buyer beware is e-bay rule No 1

I dont think they're trying to scam anyone. It says Panther on the box so thats what he's selling it as.

Most people wouldn't know what a real Panther looks like (my mates got one and he can't see whats wrong with it).

yeah' looks like he's trying to pull a fast one here, even if he isn't he's got some bloody neck asking £115.99p for it!!!!!.

some people will look at the price and reckon its gotta be the new panther because of how much he's selling it for.

I did not mean the person Pete linked to,perhaps I should of chosen better wording. But on e-bay their are those who will take advantage, that's all I am saying. But OZ does raise a good point.

Hi Guys I pointed this one out because its non smoke and sound and the price its on for 115.99 is a joke for this tank ,I dont think anyone on here would buy a non smoke and sound for anything over 30 pounds and then only for spares,I do think it must be someones old stock and now that the new one is out trying to shift it ,while there is a rush to buy the new one,he has very cleverly priced it so that if you dont read the discription and just hit the buy it now you will be stuck with it because it is an accurate discription, this is something you have to watch for on E-bay there is allways someone trying to rip off the unwary.

Hi

the new panther looks nothing like the old one the paint job on the new panther is different

and they have changed the road wheels.

you can see from the picture that it's the old pantiger/piger/tanther or what ever you call it.

but saying that if you don't know, then you may be mislead.

To be honest even if the new Panther wasn't out, this would be opportunism at its worst. There are plenty of parents and relatives out there who haven't got a clue what they are buying. Little Johnny wants a tank for Xmas, so they will go on Ebay, see this and click BIN without a moments hesitation. There are thousands of people around like this at this time of year, they just buy, buy, buy without thinking about value for money.

I always think that the best gift is hard cash, then the recipient can go out in the January sales and get twice as much for the money, as well as getting exactly what they want. All for the sake of waiting two days??

(says I, having just got back from Argos with £150 worth of Lego and Sylvanian families!! That's half a Tamiya Sherman in my book!! 8O )
