stencils for painting axis tank numbers and letters

Post by tankman »

Can these stencils be bought anywhere else execpt tankzone ? as I would like to use them on my tanks to do the outline style of numbering ( low vis ) and I have not seen this decal style numbering in the 1/16 scale. All the best for now

if you can find a german "font" for the PC you could just print out the letters then cut the letters out leaving a stencil and saves money

My personal favourite method of doing decals is to use letraset dry transfers. The numbers are easy, simply apply them in bold white text and overlay black normal text numbers. Crosses take a bit more fiddling around but usually the results are worthwhile.

Alan, you can get the transfers from good stationery and art suppliers. Although it is probably possible to buy them mail order, its better to buy them in person since you need to compare sizes and fonts to get the right appearence.
