hi all
as some of you may know .. i dont like the kv ... i feel its just green and not a lot of conversion prospects .. BUT while looking thry evil bay for parts .i cam across a conversted kv in the usa .. and from what i can see the sellers done a realy nice job
i have asked the seller if he's a member of any club with a view to get a better look at how he did it ...
the first point of note is the different cast turret !

the KV-1 from Heng Long have a great potential for early variants of the turret if you remove the additional armor from turret and hull and change the gun mantlet.
you can build with a little work variants from early 1940 to late 1941.
at this time the russians change rear of the upper hull.

umm I do like this conversion, so much so that i think I may start on one of the two I have sitting waiting HOWEVER, Jens can you help please mate. The turret on the one on ebay, its a straight hen long turret, does it not need to be this sort? ( Id rather not converty the rear of teh turret if i can help it!)Also does the mantlet not need changing as per the picture below? And the smoke dischargers, their not kosha either are they??? Having said all that I really like that model! BUt if im going to do it might as well do it right!
