Heng Long Tank CO

Post by torpedochief »

I wanted to have a TIGER Commander look like he wasdoing something. Some ofthe price tags on 1/16 scale figures is abit more than I wanted to spend. So I turned Dr. Frankenstien on an old Heng Long Figure I had.

I cut the head off. Slit the mounth open and inserted an oval shaped bit of brass tube. That was then puttied up and blended. The head was repositioned and reattached using a bit of brass for extra support. Like wise the arms were cut and repositioned. I made armatures from brass wire so I could move the arms until I was happy with the position. The fingers on the pointin hand were cut between the fingers and the index finger removed ad replacedwith a bit of wire. When I was happy I puttied everthing up, sculpting the clothing folds back in. A bit of gentle sanding and here it is with the first coat of Primer.

Use away my Brother. Lot of fun to make. You can do just about anything with these guys. I've got one hallowed out and working on maiking him come to life when the tank is running. So far I have his head moving and now to get the arms to lift the map in front of his eyes.
